## About this program

# Keystone Club

Keystone Club is described by Boys & Girls Clubs of America as the movement's ultimate teen program. Keystone Clubs are small, chartered groups inside local Boys & Girls Clubs where teens - not staff - plan and implement their own activities under the guidance of an adult advisor. The structure is deliberately member-run: officers are elected, projects are chosen by the group, and the club is accountable for what it delivers to its Club and its community.

## What You'll Do

- Plan and run service projects your club chooses, targeting needs you identify in your own neighborhood
- Work across Keystone's three focus areas: community service, academic success, and career preparation
- Lead teen outreach inside your Club, recruiting and supporting younger members
- Attend the annual National Keystone Conference, which brings Keystone members together from across the country and beyond for issue sessions, skill-building, and peer networking

## Who Should Apply

Young people ages 14 to 18 who are members of a local Boys & Girls Club. Because Keystone Clubs are chartered at the Club level, you join by finding a Club near you through BGCA's Club finder and asking about its Keystone Club; Clubs without one can charter a new club.

## Outcomes

Keystone members build leadership development experience that BGCA positions as its top teen credential: elected officer roles, self-directed service projects, and national conference participation. Keystone involvement also feeds BGCA's other teen recognition and scholarship pathways.
