## About this program

Poetry Out Loud is a poetry recitation competition for high school students created by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation, run in the District by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (CAH). The 2026 DC competition took place at the Planet Word Museum on March 7, 2026, and the national program is returning for the 2026-2027 school year.
