## About this program

The Hawaii Young Investigators Program, run by the Hawaii Academy of Science, gives grants that help students pay for the supplies they need for independent research projects. It supports Hawaii students in grades 6-12 who plan to take part in the Hawaii Science Fair program or the Hawaii Junior Sciences & Humanities Symposium (JSHS). The program began in 2022 and now funds about 10 students a year.
