## About this program

# Teen Team

The High Museum of Art's Teen Team — the museum's Teen Leadership Council — is a paid, year-long position for 15 high school students who share interests in art and community engagement. Members work inside one of the Southeast's major art museums, engaging with art and culture, developing workplace and team-building skills, and learning about professional options and career paths in the arts.

## What You'll Do

- Complete a mandatory six-week summer intensive at the museum (Wednesday–Friday, 9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; June 3–July 17 in 2026, with no absences permitted)
- Help plan and deliver teen programs and events at the High
- Go behind the scenes with museum staff to learn how an art museum operates
- Serve as a peer ambassador for the High and work with visitors of all ages throughout the school year

## Who Should Apply

Rising juniors and seniors who will be enrolled full time in high school during the program year, enjoy working with visitors, and want real workplace experience in the arts. Applications for the 2026–2027 Teen Team opened February 1 and closed March 1, with decisions announced by May 1 — expect a similar window for the next cohort.

## Outcomes

Teen Team members earn pay for their museum work, build a professional network in Atlanta's arts community, and leave with concrete exposure to museum and creative-industry career paths.
