## About this program

Each year the Iowa Senate, the Iowa House of Representatives and the Legislative Services Agency employ high school juniors and seniors of high academic standing as pages for the legislative session. It is a full-time job at the Capitol in Des Moines, Monday through Thursday. One application covers all three bodies, and each selected page is placed with one of them.

Iowa high school juniors and seniors (as of September 2026) who will be at least 16 by January 2, 2027. Applicants need a school administrator's approval, a written statement, at least one letter of recommendation and a parent letter; pages arrange their own unsupervised housing and transportation in Des Moines.
