Youth Mentorship in the Arts is the flagship program of New Urban Arts, a nationally recognized community arts studio for high school students in Providence. The yearlong after-school program pairs roughly 20 trained artist mentors with small groups of teens who explore and create art on their own terms in a free, drop-in storefront studio — recognized with the national Coming Up Taller award presented by First Lady Michelle Obama.

- Create work across printmaking, painting, photography, music, fashion, creative writing, and more with artist mentors, October through May
