# NJCL Online Exams

The National Junior Classical League sponsors four online exams that sit alongside the better-known national Latin and Greek exams and cover ground those exams do not: the National Classical Etymology Exam, the National Roman Civilization Exam, the National Latin Vocabulary Exam and the National Hellenic Civilization Exam. They are administered online through schools by the American Classical League, in two windows each academic year, and are open to students whether or not they are enrolled in Latin.

- Take the National Classical Etymology Exam, testing Latin and Greek derivatives and their use in English
- Take the National Roman Civilization Exam - 50 multiple-choice questions in 45 minutes on Roman history and society from 753 BC through Constantine
- Take the National Latin Vocabulary Exam or the National Hellenic Civilization Exam in the spring window
