# Rock The Street, Wall Street

Rock The Street, Wall Street (RTSWS) is a nonprofit that brings financial and investment education into high schools, with a focus on young women. Founded in 2012 by a former Wall Street executive, the year-long program is delivered by local women finance professionals who volunteer as instructors and mentors, and it operates in more than 30 cities across the US, UK and Canada.

## What You'll Do

## Who Should Apply

High school students - especially young women - whose school hosts or wants to host a chapter. Students join through their school's RTSWS team; schools and educators start a chapter by contacting the organization through its Educators and Schools portal. No prior finance coursework is required.

## Outcomes

The program is free, funded by sponsoring financial firms, and comes at no cost to the school. More than 10,000 girls have graduated from the year-long program since 2012. Participants finish with core personal-finance and investing fluency, a mentor in the industry, and a concrete sense of what a finance career involves.
