## About this program

West Virginia University's Next Generation Forensic Science Initiative and Department of Forensic and Investigative Science run an annual forensic science summer camp for high school students. Campers learn the techniques forensic scientists use in casework, and the week ends at WVU's Crime Scene Training Complex with mock crime scenes. The 2027 camp is planned for June 14-18, 2027 in Morgantown, with a second session to be announced; the page lists these dates as tentative.

Students entering 11th or 12th grade in fall 2027 who have a 3.0 unweighted high school GPA and have not attended the camp before. Applicants first complete an online application, including their GPA, which the camp director approves before registration.
