## About this program

Wyoming History Day (WHD) is the state's National History Day program, administered by the American Heritage Center at the University of Wyoming. Students in grades 6-12 research a topic tied to an annual theme and produce performances, exhibits, documentaries, websites or research papers, which are evaluated at regional and state competitions. Regional contests run in communities around the state, plus a remote contest submitted online, and the Wyoming State History Day Competition is scheduled for May 3, 2027 at the University of Wyoming Union in Laramie.

Wyoming students in grades 6-12. A participant must compete in a regional or virtual contest to be eligible for the state competition; regional coordinators provide registration instructions through whd@uwyo.edu.
