Catalog health

What our link checker recorded when it requested listings' official sites and application links, counted over the catalog as published today. Every figure is counted from the recorded checks and shown with what it was counted over; nothing here is estimated.

How the check works

A script requests each listing's official site and application link, a few at a time and never two at once to the same site, and records what answered. The site's owner starts it by hand, so the time between runs varies.

A link passes when it answers, directly or through a redirect to the organization's own new site. It fails on a missing page, a domain that no longer exists, a parked or phishing page, or a redirect to an unrelated site. It is flagged broken only after 3 failed checks in a row on different days.

A link that answers can still lead to details that have changed: the check confirms the link works, not that a listing is current. The Researched date on each listing says when its details were last researched.
