What Is Florida High School Mock Trial Competition?

The Florida High School Mock Trial Program was launched in 1991 and is administered by the Justice Teaching Center in partnership with the Ninth Judicial Circuit and bar associations statewide. Hundreds of attorneys and judges volunteer each year, and volunteer attorneys and law students write the case materials.

Statewide school/team initial registration for the 2026–27 Florida competition closes November 1, 2026. Every circuit team must register with the statewide provider and may also face local circuit requirements. Case-material questions are due December 22 for registered teams, not a new-entry deadline. No application cutoff clock or timezone is published.
