What Is Gotham Writers Workshop Teen Creative Writing?
Gotham's Unbound: Teen Creative Writing course serves writers ages 13-17 with a low-pressure introduction to fiction and creative nonfiction. Students work through lectures and exercises on observation, imagination, language, showing versus telling, voice, character, plot, point of view, revision, and writing habits. There are no grades or exams.
Six-week Online and Zoom classes cost $339; the four-week summer Zoom version costs $329. Gotham also charges a $25 registration fee once per student each term. Six-week Zoom sections meet three hours weekly, four-week summer Zoom meets twice weekly for two hours, and Online sections are asynchronous with weekly materials and deadlines. The course page currently says to check back soon, so no active section or deadline should be assumed.
