What Is Tim Draper High School Utah Entrepreneur?
The University of Utah Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute runs a high-school business-idea competition for Utah students ages 14-18. Students lead an idea and explain its problem, proposed solution, customer and prototype. The earlier 2025-26 guide allowed individual entrants or teams of up to five and did not require a formed company; confirm current team and application requirements before submitting.
The current 2026-27 page publishes an initial January 9, 2027 deadline; operative form acceptance remains unverified. No cutoff clock or timezone is published; the old January 14, 2026 guide clock does not apply. Top 20 finalists are announced January 20, finalist videos are due January 29, public voting runs February 1-19, and the final event is February 20. A January 14 information session does not extend initial entry.
