What Is Minnesota Zoo ZooTeen Volunteer Program?
ZooTeen is the Minnesota Zoo's in-person summer volunteer opportunity for teens ages 13-17. Volunteers support Zoo Camps by helping keep track of campers around public and behind-the-scenes areas, assisting with crafts and activities, serving as positive role models and sharing enthusiasm for the natural world.
This is not an animal-care program: volunteers do not handle animals, provide care or interact directly with zoo animals. Published benefits include free admission for the volunteer and immediate family beginning two to three weeks after training, gift-shop discounts and occasional event previews.
