What Is Sanford PROMISE High School Research Scholars?

The Sanford PROMISE Scholar internship is a 10-week, full-immersion laboratory research experience at Sanford Research for motivated high school students with an aptitude for biomedical sciences. Sanford accepts four scholars each summer. The 2027 program runs June 1 to August 6, 2027.

Students entering their senior year of high school in the fall who will be at least 16 years old by June 1; home-schooled students are eligible. Scholars commit to the full 10 weeks, apart from five discretionary days. Housing is not provided, so the program is intended for students who live in the region. Sanford encourages applicants from underrepresented backgrounds and historically marginalized groups.
