What Is Alabama Science and Engineering Fair (ASEF)?

Alabama Science and Engineering Fair is Alabama’s official state fair and an ISEF affiliate, hosted in person at Auburn. Students in grades 6-12 must qualify through an approved regional fair and complete division-specific forms in STEM Wizard. The 2027 rules are posted, without a state event date or student cutoff.

One project per student and teams of at most three are allowed. Regulated human, animal and hazardous studies need approval before experimentation. Document AI prompts/responses and follow display, citation and safety rules. Senior projects may advance to ISEF; the top 10% of junior winners advance to the Junior Innovators Challenge.
