Program Overview

Tuition-free, audition-based season-long company at Atlanta's Alliance Theatre for rising juniors and seniors — monthly workshops with professional artists plus access to the full mainstage season.

# Teen Ensemble The Alliance Theatre Teen Ensemble is a tuition-free, audition-based company of 18–20 high school students from across Metro Atlanta. Over a year-long journey inside one of Atlanta's leading professional theaters, ensemble members experience the full life of a producing theater — onstage, backstage, and in the rehearsal room — at no cost to participants. ## What You'll Do - Attend Alliance Theatre productions throughout the season and meet the casts and creative teams behind them - Write reviews and develop your critical voice in response to professional work - Train in monthly weekend workshops led by Alliance teaching artists and guest artists - Build skills in acting, auditioning, singing, dancing, and playwriting ## Who Should Apply Rising high school juniors and seniors in Metro Atlanta who are serious about performance, writing, or theater production. The ensemble is selected each spring by audition and interview: candidates prepare a one-minute monologue, an optional 30-second song excerpt, and join a creative exercise with current members. Auditions for the 2026/27 season were held in April and May 2026 via Zoom. ## Outcomes Members finish the season with a year of sustained training from working theater professionals, an insider's view of a full professional season at the Woodruff Arts Center, and a network of peers and mentors in Atlanta's theater community — all tuition-free.
