What Is Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO)?
The Asian Physics Olympiad is a national-team physics competition. The official host site describes the completed May 17–25, 2026 event in Busan, Republic of Korea, and names Thailand as the 2027 host without a city, calendar or application window. Individual national selection processes are separate from a delegation’s host registration.
The 2026 registration page allowed up to eight students and two leaders and charged $3,000 per team, not per student. Observer and single-room charges were separate. Its January 26–February 8 pre-registration and closed online registration are historical. Confirm 2027 rules, age and national eligibility, team selection, fees and travel arrangements with the relevant national organizer; no universal high-school grade range or May application date is established.
