What Is National STEM Talent Search (NSTS)?
Science Centre Singapore runs the annual competition with support from the Ministry of Education. It recognizes strong student research in Biomedical Science, Computer Science & Mathematics, Engineering, and Material Science. Entry is not open to any high-school research project: candidates must be Singapore citizens or permanent residents, ages 15-21, enrolled in secondary school or pre-university, and have won Gold, Silver, or Bronze at the Singapore Science & Engineering Fair. Only one member of each SSEF team may enter, and eligible students are invited through their school teacher coordinator. Candidates submit their project and personal statement, complete a shortlisting interview, and finalists complete a final judging interview.
