What Is China Girls' Mathematical Olympiad?
The China Girls' Mathematical Olympiad (CGMO) is an active, high-level proof-based competition for female secondary-school students organized through the Chinese Mathematical Society's competition system and local hosts. Students do not use one open international application. Provinces, municipalities, territories, and invited countries or schools form delegations through their own selection exams, school recommendations, and mathematical-olympiad organizations.
The 25th CGMO was hosted by the High School Affiliated to Hunan Normal University in Changsha from August 10-15, 2026 and has concluded. The competitive portion comprised two examinations totaling eight hours and eight proof problems. Thirty-nine delegations brought 234 contestants. Published results report 72 first prizes, 103 second prizes, 57 third prizes, and 20 students advancing to the 2026 Chinese Mathematical Olympiad winter camp. These are completed 2026 facts, not guaranteed future team sizes, medal quotas, or qualification rules.
