What Is CSAW Red Team Competition (formerly?
CSAW's own history says the High School Forensics Challenge was redesigned as the Red Team Competition. The redesigned event used an online jeopardy-style CTF qualifying round in reversing, web security, digital forensics, cryptography, and binary exploitation, followed by an in-person investigation in which finalists infiltrated a target environment, gathered evidence, and analyzed the operation without detection.
The latest discoverable official Red Team page describes a 2022 cycle co-created by Grenoble INP-Esisar and Root-Me. It was open to high-school students in metropolitan France, with teams of one to three students from the same school. Online qualification ran September 15-October 15, finalists were notified by October 20, and the in-person final took place November 10 in Valence, France. The old page is now unavailable at its former route.
