What Is Samsung Solve for Tomorrow (U.S.)?
Samsung and MIT Solve run a school-team STEM competition in which students identify a community problem and develop a technology solution. The initial application must be submitted by an educator age 21 or older who is employed full-time by the eligible school and remains employed there through the final pitch if selected. This is not a direct individual student application.
Eligible schools serve grades 6-12 in the 50 U.S. states or District of Columbia and are publicly funded, including charter schools with at least 50% public funding. Home schools, private schools, charter schools with less than 50% public funding, schools serving only grades 5 and below, colleges and universities are excluded under the current rules.
