What Is Bucharest International Jazz Competition?
EUROPAfest is an umbrella festival of concerts, workshops, jam sessions, and competitions. The currently open competition with authoritative 2027 rules is the 21st Bucharest International Jazz Competition, organized by jmEvents for July 2-10, 2027 in Bucharest, Romania. It is not high-school-specific and uses professional-length performances and travel commitments.
Bands and vocalists of every nationality may apply. A band may have up to six performing musicians, and an individual musician may enter the Jam Session section. Applicants generally must have been born after July 1, 1982, while a band leader may be older than 45. Because that exception and a date-of-birth cutoff control, applicants should check the date-of-birth rule and band-leader exception.
