What Is Ghetto Film School Fellows Program?
GFS Fellows is a free, multi-year visual-storytelling program offered in New York, Los Angeles and London. The current U.S. city pages describe a 20-month filmmaking and creative-producing immersion. Fellows study with media makers and industry experts, visit working sets and studios, develop and films, and travel internationally to make an original thesis film. They also receive college-application, test-preparation and early-career support.
Applications are city-specific. The 2026 Los Angeles form is closed, and the current page gives an April 25 cutoff. A contemporary New York school bulletin linked the GFS-owned form and identified a May 11, 2026 deadline for a 2026-2028 Bronx cohort.
