What Is Hong Kong Young Mathematical High Achievers?
The Hong Kong Young Mathematical High Achievers Selection Contest is an active annual contest organized by Po Leung Kuk and the Hong Kong Association for Science and Mathematics Education. The completed 28th contest was for Hong Kong Secondary 1-3 students, not all secondary grades. Each school could nominate no more than five students, and for the 2025-2026 cycle every entrant also had to be born on or after September 1, 2010.
Students sat an individual, bilingual Chinese-English mathematics paper for two hours. Part A required answers only; Part B required written working. Calculators, numerical tables, protractors and compasses were prohibited. School team standings used the combined scores of each school's best three contestants.
