What Is Hotchkiss Summer Portals?
Hotchkiss Summer Portals is an umbrella for two-week residential courses at The Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, Connecticut. Subjects include science, engineering, writing, visual art, piano, speech and debate, and baseball analytics. Students normally take one course per session and may combine the two sessions for four weeks.
The completed 2026 sessions ran June 28-July 11 and July 12-25. Tuition varied by course from $4,600 to $5,500 and included housing, meals, course expenses, routine health-center care and many activities; optional specialized afternoons could add charges. Limited need-based aid was available.
