What Is MTS Rising College Scholarship?
The Marine Technology Society's Rising College Scholarship is the specific MTS award open at the high-school level. In 2026 it provided $2,500 to a high-school senior-level MTS member who had already been accepted into an accredited two- or four-year marine-studies program at a college, university or technical institution. It is a financial award application, not a virtual marine-science course, internship or mentorship program.
Applicants had to hold active MTS student membership, which cost $25 per year. MTS invited applicants to contact its membership staff if dues created a barrier.
