What Is NAQT High School National Championship?
The High School National Championship Tournament (HSNCT) is a high-school quiz-bowl event. The 2027 championship is confirmed for May 28-30 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis and Hilton Atlanta. Teams play fast-paced academic matches and compete against school quiz-bowl programs from the United States and an increasing number of international schools.
This is not an open individual application. A school normally earns an invitation by placing in the top 15 percent, rounded up, at an eligible varsity tournament using NAQT questions with at least three eligible schools, or by winning an eligible class or division of a varsity state or equivalent regional championship. Multiple teams from the same school must qualify independently at the same tournament. NAQT may also issue wildcards under defined circumstances.
