# Schoolhouse Summer Camp Schoolhouse Summer Camp is the annual free summer program of Schoolhouse.world, the nonprofit peer-to-peer tutoring platform founded by Khan Academy founder Sal Khan. The 2026 camp is in session July 1 - August 31, and every session is 100% free. Students from around the world gather over Zoom for small-group, community-led sessions hosted by trained student volunteers, on topics ranging from coding and math to cooking and creative writing. ## What You'll Do - Browse the camp catalog and register for live virtual session series that match your interests - Learn alongside peers from around the world in small, interactive groups - Join sessions led by certified student Camp Counselors and tutors - Keep access to Schoolhouse.world's free year-round 1:1 and small-group tutoring in math, SAT prep, and more - Optionally build toward hosting your own sessions as a volunteer tutor ## Who Should Apply Anyone age 13 or older can create a free Schoolhouse account and join; the camp is a natural fit for high school students in grades 9-12 looking for flexible, no-cost summer enrichment. There is no application or selection process, and students can join sessions throughout the camp window. ## Outcomes Campers finish the summer with new skills, a global network of peer learners, and a foothold in the Schoolhouse community, where continued tutoring and volunteering can grow into recognized certifications and leadership experience. Several US colleges accept Schoolhouse tutoring portfolios as evidence of academic engagement.
