What Is Rural Alaska Honors Institute (RAHI)?
RAHI is a free residential college programme at the University of Alaska Fairbanks for Alaska Native or rural Alaskan high-school juniors and seniors. The 2027 programme runs June 1-July 16 on the UAF Troth Yeddha' campus in Fairbanks. Students earn up to ten college credits and participate in classes, recreation and community volunteering.
Applications open January 1 and close March 1, 2027. A complete application includes two 300-word essays, a resume, at least two official recommendation forms and a school-sent transcript. ACT or SAT scores are optional. The deadline is firm; incomplete or late applications are not considered. Decisions are sent in early April.
