What Is Seabee Memorial Scholarship?
The Navy Seabee Foundation awards scholarships to qualifying children and grandchildren, including specified step-relations, of Seabees, Civil Engineer Corps officers and other Naval Construction Force personnel. Initial applicants are high-school seniors or first-time college freshmen under 23, with an unweighted GPA of at least 2.5 and the required need and family-service documentation. Two-year, four-year and career/technical routes are available.
The 2026 application is closed. The standing season is January 1-April 15, while pages disagree between 11:59 p.m. PDT and midnight PST. Published 2025-26 awards were $2,000-$6,300; future amounts are unannounced. Apply as the student with an official unweighted transcript or the required counselor certification, essay, recommendation and supporting records. Family eligibility alone does not guarantee selection.
