What Is Skipping Stones Youth Honor Awards?
The Youth Honor Awards recognize original writing and visual art by young people ages 7-18 that promotes multicultural, international, interfaith or nature awareness. Entrants may submit essays, interviews, poems, plays, short stories, photos, paintings or cartoons about traditions, diversity, intercultural experience, ecology, activism, climate, peace and justice. Bilingual entries are welcome with an English translation.
The 2026 rules capped prose at 1,000 words, poetry at 30 lines, photos/art at eight pieces and writing at five pieces. AI-generated writing or art was prohibited. Entries required a cover letter, contact details and a parent's originality/publication permission. The $6 fee was waived for low-income entrants.
