# Yale Model Government Europe (YMGE) YMGE is one of the most prestigious international Model Government conferences, hosted by the Yale International Relations Association. Unlike traditional Model UN, YMGE simulates the European Parliament, European Council, NATO, and other European institutions. ## What You'll Do - Represent a European political party or nation in realistic simulations - Draft and debate legislation on pressing European policy issues - Negotiate with delegates from 30+ countries - Attend keynote speeches from diplomats and policy experts ## Who Should Apply High school students (grades 9-12) with interest in European politics, international relations, or diplomacy. Prior Model UN experience is helpful but not required. ## Outcomes - Deep understanding of European political systems and transatlantic relations - Public speaking and negotiation skills - Network with internationally-minded peers from around the world
