What Is Yau Science Awards (Asia)?
The S.T. Yau High School Science Award (Asia) is a research competition for secondary-school teams in Hong Kong and Asian regions outside Mainland China. Teams have one to three students from the same school and a supervising teacher.
For 2026, registration closed June 11, followed by an English research outline and a shortlisted full report. Selected teams defend their work in Hong Kong; nominated Gold and Silver teams may advance to the Beijing finale. Entry is free, but research, travel and accommodation expenses are generally the team’s responsibility. Commercial training and concurrent submissions are prohibited, and AI use must be disclosed. No 2027 entry calendar is announced.
