What Is ASU Fleischer Scholars Program?
Fleischer Scholars is a free W. P. Carey pre-college program for Arizona high-school juniors, designed to build strategic thinking, master adaptive learning, college/business awareness and community leadership. The completed June 1-5, 2026 cohort was virtual, with staff and mentor support plus access to a new mobile application. Older ASU stories describe a residential camp, but those legacy logistics must not be represented as the current format.
Selection weighs leadership and community-service involvement, academic performance, household income/financial need and whether the applicant would be first in the family to pursue college. The online form asks for student/guardian details, GPA and school information, activities/work/service and one response of up to 300 words about overcoming hardship or becoming an adaptive learner/strategic thinker. A teacher or other academic-professional recommendation is encouraged but not mandatory.
