What Is Elks National Foundation Legacy Awards?
The 2027 Legacy Awards are 400 competitive USD 6,000 scholarships for high-school seniors with a qualifying Elks family connection. The award is paid as USD 1,500 per year for four years directly to the recipient's accredited school after enrollment verification. It may cover costs the school treats as cost of attendance, such as tuition/fees, books/supplies, and room/board.
An applicant must be the child, stepchild, grandchild, step-grandchild, or legal ward of a living Elk who joined by April 1, 2024, or a qualifying charter member. The sponsor must have contiguous dues-paid membership through March 31, 2027; great-grandchildren are not eligible. If both a parent and grandparent are Elks, the parent's Lodge must be selected. The student must be a high-school senior and apply online; SAT/ACT scores are waived for 2027.
