About the Generation Google Scholarship

The Generation Google Scholarship supports students from underrepresented groups in computer science and technology to help build a diverse pipeline of future technology leaders. Managed by Google and administered through the Institute of International Education (IIE), the scholarship provides both financial support and access to Google's professional community.

Eligibility Requirements

• Identify as Black/African American, Hispanic/Latinx, Native American, or a person with a disability
• OR identify as female (for the female-focused version of the scholarship)
• High school senior planning to enroll full-time at a U.S. university the following fall
• Planning to major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field
• Minimum 3.2 GPA
• U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or DACA status
• Demonstrated leadership and passion for technology

Google Scholars' Retreat

Selected scholars are invited to a retreat at a Google office where they can network with Google employees, other scholars, and technology professionals — providing connections that can launch careers.
