Genesys Works

# Genesys Works Genesys Works is a national nonprofit that puts high school seniors into paid, year-long corporate internships. Students train for eight weeks in the summer after junior year in technical and professional skills, then work about 20 hours a week during senior year at a partner company while finishing high school, with college and career coaching alongside. ## What You'll Do - Complete eight weeks of summer training in professional communication, business software and technical skills - Work a paid year-long internship at a partner company - typically four hours each afternoon, 20 hours a week - in IT, business operations or related teams - Earn roughly $10,000 to $13,000 over the internship year - Meet regularly with a program coach for college applications, financial aid and career planning - Stay connected through alumni support after graduation ## Who Should Apply Juniors attending a Genesys Works partner high school in the Bay Area, Chicago, Houston, Jacksonville, Nashville, the National Capital Region, New York City, Tulsa or the Twin Cities. Requirements are that students are on track to graduate, are able to work in the US, and can adjust their senior-year schedule to accommodate internship hours. Students apply in the fall or winter of junior year and finish the process in the spring. ## Outcomes Participants finish high school with a year of real corporate work experience, a professional reference network, meaningful earnings and a college plan - an unusually direct on-ramp to business and technology careers for students from under-resourced communities.
