What Is BGCPBC Individual Volunteer – Homework Help?
Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County accepts individual volunteers age 16 or older for assignments that may include homework help, tutoring, STEM, arts, sports, or mentoring. Applicants complete an online application, Level 2 background-check waivers and clearance, a brief phone screen, a meeting with Club staff, three online training courses, and two training videos. Placement is based on program needs and is not guaranteed at the Delray Beach Club or in tutoring specifically.
Ongoing individual volunteers are asked to serve at least one hour per week for one full school semester, generally during weekday afterschool hours. Delray Beach offers daily homework help and certified-teacher tutoring as member programs. Youth volunteers must also be registered Club members; Delray's published school-year membership fee is $30, with scholarships available and possible added transportation or extended-program fees. This is not a grades 10-12-only program, and the official page does not require prior tutoring experience.
