# Lassonde Startup Academy The Lassonde Startup Academy is a two-week residential summer program from the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute, the nationally ranked entrepreneurship division of the University of Utah's David Eccles School of Business. Students ages 14-18 from anywhere in the world live upstairs at Lassonde Studios - the institute's signature living-learning startup facility - while creating and launching real products. The 2026 session ran June 15-26; tuition is $4,860 including room, meals, makerspace access, mentoring, excursions, and 24-hour supervision, and generous merit- and need-based scholarships are available. ## What You'll Do - Live at Lassonde Studios with student entrepreneurs - Learn product creation, business launch, and startup fundamentals - Build a product using the Studios' makerspace - Work with mentors and experienced founders - Sell your product at a culminating demo day event ## Who Should Apply High school students ages 14-18 of any academic background who want a residential, build-something-real startup experience. Early registration and scholarship applications are encouraged because space and funding are limited; eligible students can earn college credit. ## Outcomes Participants leave having launched and sold an actual product, with college credit available, startup mentors, and first-hand experience of one of the country's best-known university entrepreneurship communities.
