What Is Montessori Model United Nations Year-Long?
MMUN is a school-group program for students ages 9-15. Delegates research an assigned country and current UN issue, learn committee procedure, write and present position papers, negotiate with international peers, and collaborate on resolutions. Year-long activities include English working sessions, student meet-ups, coordinator meet-ups, adult workshops, optional Sustainable Development Goal projects, and a culminating conference.
The live calendar includes Bangkok November 20-23, 2026; New York City February 17-20 and March 17-20, 2027; Rome April 27-30, 2027; and two online May 11-17, 2027 schedules. Onsite conferences run four days; online programming spans multiple days. Registration is group-based: a school/coordinator selects a country, purchases participant packages, enters all participant data, assigns delegates to committees, and uploads final position papers.
