What Is MSU Humanities Camp?
Mississippi State University's College of Arts & Sciences runs a week-long Humanities Camp for up to 15 nominated scholars from across Mississippi. The 2027 camp, "Understanding Mississippi to Write the Future", runs Sunday, June 6 to Friday, June 11, 2027 in Starkville.
Current sophomores and juniors in the 2026-2027 school year who are nominated by their school. Each school can nominate up to two scholars, and each nominee submits a 300-500 word statement about their interest in the humanities. Nomination forms open Monday, November 2, 2026, and the nomination deadline is Wednesday, February 3, 2027.
