What Is Living Latin in Rome: High School?
Paideia's two-week residential programme uses Rome as both classroom and text. High-school Latin students read and speak Latin in formal lessons, games, skits and informal conversation, then connect those texts to museums, monuments, archaeological sites and full-day excursions. The curriculum can include classical, medieval and Renaissance Latin.
The completed 2026 session ran June 28-July 12. Students lived in supervised hotel or guesthouse cohorts, received three meals daily and travelled with staff for programme activities. Applicants in any high-school grade, including graduating seniors, were eligible with at least one year of Latin or a comparable foundation; students without formal coursework could qualify after Paideia's self-paced Living Latin online course.
