What Is National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA)?
The National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA) is a program of the National Dance Education Organization. Chapters are set up at individual schools and studios, with a Junior Program for grades 6-8 and a Secondary Program for grades 9-12. There are over 1,500 chapters in the US.
Student dancers in grades 6-12 whose school or studio hosts a current NHSDA chapter. Only students enrolled at a chapter's school may apply for induction; a school without a chapter needs an NDEO Institutional Membership and a dance faculty sponsor to start one.
