What Is NCWIT Aspirations in Computing High School?
The NCWIT Aspirations in Computing (AiC) High School Award recognizes students in grades 9-12 for interest, aptitude and achievement in computing and technology. Reviewers consider computing experience, related activities, leadership, persistence and future plans. The current program is open to students of all genders and at every experience level, from beginners exploring technology to advanced builders.
Every completed application can be considered at both the National and Regional Affiliate tiers. National and affiliate designations include Winner and Honorable Mention; affiliates may also name Rising Stars. National selection uses an additional rubric addressing tenacity, uniqueness of story and technical achievement. National Winners cannot win nationally again, but other applicants may reapply in later high-school years.
