Processing Foundation maintains free, open-source creative-coding tools and learning resources rather than a single selective high-school program. Learners of any age can use the downloadable Processing environment or the browser-based p5.js Web Editor to write, run, save, share and remix visual or interactive sketches. Official tutorials range from beginner drawing and interaction through animation, typography, sound, images, data, electronics, networking, 3D graphics, shaders and accessible canvas design.
The Foundation's Art + Code and Creative Coding for All curricula connect computer science, art and design in beginner-accessible projects, especially for grades 6-12 classrooms, but individuals can learn independently at any time. There is no application, deadline, required grade level, scheduled cohort, instructor, certificate, guaranteed feedback or admissions credential. The separate Processing Foundation Fellowship is being redesigned and has no 2026 cohort; its expected October 2026 announcement is not part of this self-paced resource listing.
