# Park Scholarships The Park Scholarships program is NC State University's premier undergraduate merit scholarship, awarded on the basis of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Selected students receive an award covering the full cost of attendance for four years - tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, travel, a computer stipend, and personal expenses - alongside a structured enrichment program of retreats, seminars, and faculty mentoring. The scholarship application is separate from NC State undergraduate admissions, so applicants must complete both. ## What You'll Do - Submit the NC State undergraduate admission application and the separate Park Scholarships application by the November 1 deadline - Write two Park essays and gather two recommendations, plus report advanced coursework completed - If advanced, learn semifinalist status in December and interview in January - As a Scholar, take part in the Park Enrichment Academy, educational trips, retreats, and seminars - Apply for Park Enrichment Grants to fund study abroad, research, service, and conference travel ## Who Should Apply High school seniors applying for fall first-year admission to NC State with a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.80. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or graduating from a U.S. high school regardless of citizenship status. The program is not open to transfer students. ## Outcomes Park Scholars graduate debt-free from a flagship public research university, having completed four years of leadership development, faculty mentorship, and funded enrichment experiences, and join an active alumni society that supports the program's selection and mentoring work.
