What Is Park Scholarships?
Park Scholarships is NC State's four-year merit scholarship and development program for exceptional incoming first-year students demonstrating scholarship, leadership, service and character. For the Class of 2031, NC State values the award at approximately $129,000 for in-state students and $244,000 for out-of-state students. It includes tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, travel, a computer stipend and personal expenses, plus enrichment grants for research, service, conferences and experiences in the United States and abroad.
Scholars complete the Park Enrichment Academy throughout four years, including a funded course each semester, retreats, trips, panels, leadership development, service, faculty mentoring and grant-supported projects. Selection starts with separate NC State admission and Park applications, then video semifinalist interviews and on-campus Final Selection Activities with an interview and evaluated group task. Need-based finalist travel stipends and Park Under-Resourced Assistance are available.
