What Is Princeton AI4ALL?
Princeton AI4ALL is a three-week residential summer program for low-income students who are in grade 10 when applying and will enter grade 11 in the fall. It introduces artificial intelligence through Princeton faculty lectures, hands-on research projects, ethics and social-impact discussions, field trips, career development, mentorship, and community activities. No prior AI or programming experience is required. The program particularly encourages girls and students from racial and ethnic groups underrepresented in AI, while all students meeting the published eligibility rules may apply.
The official application page still lists the 2025 cycle: the deadline was April 9, 2025 and the program ran July 9-30. Applicants submitted short answers, demographic information, a transcript, and contact information for one recommender. Applicants had to live in the U.S.; the FAQ and About pages expressly include Puerto Rico. They also had to meet at least one low-income test: household income of $60,000 or less, free or reduced-price lunch eligibility, or SAT/ACT fee-waiver eligibility.
