Space Camp

# Space Camp Space Camp is the U.S. Space & Rocket Center's residential spaceflight training program in Huntsville, Alabama. Trainees are grouped by age: Space Camp serves ages 9-11, Space Academy serves ages 12-14, and Advanced Space Academy serves ages 15-18, so middle schoolers train alongside peers at their own level. Programs are built around NASA-style astronaut training, with crews working together on simulated missions. ## What You'll Do - Suit up for a simulated mission to the International Space Station or train for a landing on the Moon - Rotate through astronaut-style training simulators with your crew - At Space Academy (ages 12-14), experience the future of space travel and train to solve technically challenging anomalies - Live on the U.S. Space & Rocket Center campus for the week with trainees from around the world ## Who Should Apply Students ages 9-18 who love space and teamwork; middle schoolers typically enroll in Space Camp or Space Academy depending on age. There is no application - registration is rolling through the center's online portal, and weeklong sessions run throughout the year with the widest selection in summer, so families book the session and program that fits. ## Outcomes Campers finish with hands-on mission experience, teamwork and communication practice under pressure, and an early look at aerospace careers. Tuition starts at $1,799 for Space Camp and $1,899 for Space Academy, with Family Space Camp and adult programs also available.
